not alone

Are you discouraged and having trouble seeing your way forward. Do you feel alone and vulnerable, powerless to affect change in some situation?

You don’t have to be alone, Love, help and protection is just a prayer away.

We all have times in our lives when we feel overwhelmed and fearful because we cannot see the big picture. God helps us in our weakness; he protects us when we don’t know what to do.

It is important to know that our troubles will not disappear overnight. Daniel prayed to God and it took 21 days to get an answer. There is a battle going on all around us that most of us know nothing about. Angels are real God uses them to help those who are his.

Daniel 10:12-13

Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.

Hebrews 1:14

Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

We must be patient and have faith that God is working on our behalf.

Romans 8:28

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them

Isaiah 64:4-5

For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! You welcome those who gladly do good, who follow godly ways.

Often God uses our troubles to bring us to him, to show us something about ourselves, or something about himself. But if we draw close to God instead of turning away, he will draw closer to us.

James 4:8

Come close to God, and God will come close to you.

James 1:2-4

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

God will accept you just the way you are. None of us are clean enough, nor can we make ourselves acceptable to God. Just call on his name, he will not refuse you.

John 6:40

For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. – Jesus

Romans 10:11-13

As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.

When you are a child of God, you are under God’s authority and his protection. There is none higher than God who created all that has been created. God himself comes to your rescue.

Job 1:9-10

Satan replied to the LORD, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property.

The good news is that God has hold of us with his firm hand, we don’t have to keep hold of him. We focus on him, and God takes care of the rest.

The forces coming against you may seem formidable and unstoppable, but God is not deterred or under gunned.

2 Chronicles 20:15

…This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

2 Chronicles 32:7-8

Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side! He may have a great army, but they are merely men. We have the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles for us!

2 Kings 6:15-17

When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha.

“Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire.

Romans 8:31

If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Be encouraged, you are not fighting alone. Jesus is waiting for you to call on him so he can show you his love. His love and his protection is not limited to this life either. You will live forever in his grace and his love.

2 Corinthians 4:14-18

We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. All of this is for your benefit. …

That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

In Jesus there is peace, joy and contentment in every situation as his Spirit in us gives us strength.

Philippians 4:6-7, 12-13

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
