Can you guarantee you will be here tomorrow? Have you made preparations for what comes next? For some reading this blog post, this could be the last time God reaches out to you before you meet him. This could be your last chance to accept him and receive eternal life, or deny him and be eternally separated from his love and presence.

James 4:13-14

Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.

It is not just Jesus return we must prepare for, it is our return to him. Are you ready to bet your eternity that you have time to make a decision later? Do you have children who are watching you? Your decisions not only affect your own life, but they affect many of those around you.

2 Corinthians 6:2

For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.

Isaiah 55:6-7

Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the LORD that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

Whether Jesus is coming back soon, or not, we all have limited time before we go to see him, and not all of us will have a chance to prepare later.

Jesus died so we could have life and have it abundantly. He has made it possible for us to receive eternal life with him. He did this while we were still his enemy.

Romans 5:10-11

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Do you hate God? He loves you. Are you ignoring God? He loves you. His love is not dependent on what you do or don’t do. He loves you for who you are. You are made in his image. His heart breaks for every person who rejects his love and his provision for life. God condemns no one, he only honors our own free decision.

If you are reading this line, there is a good chance you have read this whole post. Do you sense the Lord stirring your spirit? I urge you, don’t ignore him. You may not have a chance to be stirred again if you reject him today.

Luke 12 [Jesus]

A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’ Then he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store all my wheat and other goods. And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’

“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

The decision is ours alone.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life.

HOW CAN I KNOW GOD?
