Unlike having to go back a thousand years to tally so called Christian atrocities, atheistic socialist communist regime mass murder has been occurring over recent decades and still continues today.

Atheists like to promote that more deaths have been committed in the name of Christianity than any other cause in history, suggesting Christianity is the true evil and is full of hypocrisy and hate.

Atheist, Christian, Muslim, whoever, are all sects of society that have among them those who deviate from social morality and commit heinous crime. Some atheists can be of a higher moral standard then some Christians are. Humanity has its dictators and power lords who will use whatever vehicle is necessary to achieve their goals. Hitler was one such dictator.

This is not a morality contest as humanity is prone to depravity. This is only a study on the fallacy in secular society that says Christianity is responsible for most of the atrocities the world has seen. This is hate speech plain and simple.

It is not politically correct to slander an entire group because of the behavior of individuals. We need to look no further than Islam to see that the world will not tolerate grouping Jihadist who call themselves true Muslims, in with moderate Muslims.

So why is it tolerable to slander Christianity? It is because historically there is no retaliation from Christians. Jesus called out those who were hypocrites and power mongers in his day, and they killed him for it. Those in the past who said they were killing for Christ had nothing to do with Christ and their actions were unsupported by the bible. What did Jesus tell his disciples to do if they and they encountered opposition and rejected? Convert or kill everyone? No.

Mathew 10:14

“If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet” – Jesus

Revelation 22:10-11

“Then he [Jesus] told me… Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”

 Mathew 13:37-39

“Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.

“The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’

“ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.

“The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’

“ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”

The believers are the wheat; the non believers are the weeds. The harvest is the end of time when Jesus comes back and the harvesters are angels. – Jesus

The clear teaching of scripture is that the believers are only to spread the message of salvation to anyone who will listen. If they do not, the believer is to move on to others who may accept the message.

Why Did Christians Go Along With the Crusades?

We are not sure how many actually did but here is something to consider. The printing press was not invented until about 1440, almost two hundred years after the crusades. The first book printed was the Gutenburg Bible in the 1450s.

The average person had no idea what the bible said for themselves, as the only bibles were the hand written Latin Vulgate  written in old Latin. Given that the population at that time was functionally illiterate, it is safe to say they were in no position to oppose those power mongers who called themselves the leaders of the Catholic Church. The Popes were for all intents and purposes in regard to religious instruction, dictators. Even today the Pope is considered infallible when teaching and interpreting doctrine.


ATHEISTIC COMMUNISM – 175 Million Murdered

In his book “Death by Government” University of Hawaii political science professor emeritus and Nobel nominee Rudolph J. Rummel estimates those killed by Government, excluding war to be 300 million souls, 170 million of which were murdered in the last century.

Nobel Prize winner Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was asked why he thought so many had died in his country under communist revolution. He said after studying the revolution for fifty years and producing six book of his own on the 60 million of his countrymen who have perished, he said, “Men have forgotten God; that’s why all this has happened”. CHRISTIAN – 3.1 Million Murdered

In contrast, historians have to go back almost a thousand years to compile mass murders by those claiming to be Christians.

Some theists will argue that none of the above mass murderers were atheists. Others will argue that these murderers were not killing in the name of atheism like the Christians who were killing for their God. Some will also argue that Hitler was a Christian but as I posted in “Was Hitler a Christian“, it is evident he was not. It doesn’t really matter given the enormous number of victims that have lost their lives during communist regimes, secular dictatorships as compared to religious dictatorships.

Christianity is assaulted daily with accusations of hypocrisy and mass murders are among the chief accusation. What does the bible say about hypocrites in the church?

Matthew 23:15; “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.” – Jesus

Jesus is talking to the high priest and his fellow rulers of the synagogue. These are the people who are supposed to be teaching and shepherding the flock by modeling God’s love. Matthew and John tell us that the high priest Caiaphas and his cronies were planning on murdering Jesus and a man Jesus rose from the dead named Lazarus.

Matthew 26:3-5;  “Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas, and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him. “But not during the festival,” they said, “or there may be a riot among the people.”

John 12:9-11; “Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.”

Who was Caiaphas? He took over from his father in law when appointed by the Roman prefect Valerius Gratus in 18 AD. Ananus was head of a very influential politically family suggesting Caiaphas was a puppet high priest.² In Luke Ananus is still called high priest with Caiaphas.

Luke 3:2; “during the high-priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas,”

Caiaphas and the others were not concerned with the people or the word of God, they were only looking out for their positions, power and standing. They like those of the crusades were ignoring scripture for their own ends. Like the high priest of Jesus day, more people meant more power and more riches as the used the people for their own gain.

John 11:48; “If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”

Matthew 23:5-8; “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others. “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher [Jesus], and you are all brothers.” – Jesus

Mark 12:38-40; “Jesus said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.” – Jesus

Below Jesus speaks most severely to those who claim authority but are only after their own gain. How do you think Jesus would have spoken to, or will speak to those of the Crusades, the inquisitions and the witch trials?

No one can read the bible and say that murder and personal gain has anything to do with God.

Matthew 23:27-33; Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!”  You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? – Jesus


Note: It was not the Jewish people who killed Christ, it was the self absorbed politically appointed rulers who Jesus himself castigated for their pride, arrogance and hypocrisy.
